I’ve always known to be in love with Science, particularly with Biochemistry and Medicine. The University of Verona has given me the possibility to combine them. After the bachelor degree in Biotechnology I decided to focus my attention in Bioinformatics and Medical Biotechnologies, where I graduated with the first-class honors. In order to further improve my knowledge in these fields I decided to apply for the PhD position in Daniele’s lab, where I had already worked during bachelor and master degree.

In Daniele’s lab, I’ve had the chance to combine in vitro techniques, which allow us the expression and purification of recombinant proteins and their biophysical and biochemical characterization; cell culture techniques, at the moment we are using HEK293 cells permanently transfected for the expression of the human guanylate cyclase 1; and finally in vivo/ex vivo techniques, such as murine surgery and tissue preparation for microscopic analysis.

I’m an outgoing person, interested in learning new approaches, meeting new people and able to work as a part of a team. Thanks to this aspect of my personality I successfully collaborated with researchers both in Italy and abroad.
